Product Description
ASTM A179 low-carbon steel longitudinal-finned tube is engineered for compact, high-efficiency heat exchange in refrigeration plants. The plain tube, made from killed low-carbon steel, offers ≥ 180 MPa yield and ≥ 35 % elongation, retaining impact toughness down to –45 °C. Fin pairs are roll-formed from the same low-carbon strip in a single pass, producing a cold-welded bond; fin ratios of 4–8 enlarge the air-side area, raising evaporating temperature by 2–3 °C and enabling chillers, cold-room air coolers and CO₂ transcritical racks to reach higher EER with lower refrigerant charge.
